Nov 04,  · I had this as an album in the sixties and couldn't forget their version of MORE. What a rendition. These cats were way cool. I bought the cd as I'm doing with all the music I loved from my youth, and it's still great. I recommend this to anyone who loves the Young Rascals, although I can't imagine any fan of the band not owning this already/5(22).

Groovin's satisfying blend of pop accessibility and artistic adventurousness encompasses the album's blissful title tune, a #1 pop single that also crossed over to reach #3 on the R&B chart. The album also features three more memorable Rascals hits: the soulful ballads " A Girl Like You " and " How Can I Be Sure," and " You Better Run," which harkens back to the band's garage-rock roots.

Groovin' was one of the top songs of , but this album offers much more. First, there are the distinctive voices of Felix Cavaliere and Eddie Brigati, then there is the robust R&B feel to much of their work with occasional flashes of Latin influences/5(22).

The (Young) Rascals' best-known album is this release, thanks to the title track, the group's biggest-ever single. An infectiously lazy quasi-bossa nova with more hooks than really should be allowed in any one song, "Groovin'" is a stone classic, one of the best and most-beloved singles of the 'sirosicartamaduckbamilzambgicdi.coinfo: Atlantic Catalog Group.
